Surrendering Pets

Animals may be surrendered to the facility by Appointment Only!! Please call 738-8163 to set up an appointment.

Only residents of Harrison County may surrender pets to the facility. We do not guarantee to find homes for all pets surrendered to the facility, but we do promise to give all animals a fair chance at being adopted. The more information provided when the pet is surrendered, the more likely the pet will be adopted.

ATTENTION

ABANDONMENT OF ANIMALS IS AGAINST STATE LAW AND COUNTY ORDINANCE. ANYONE WHO IS CAUGHT DROPPING OFF ANY ANIMAL AFTER HOURS WILL BE PROSCUTED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW. WE ARE OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK FOR ANIMALS TO BE BROUGHT IN; THEREFORE, YOU SHOULD NEVER ABANDON ANY ANIMALS AT THE FACILITY.

Section 13 Harrison County Ordinance

ABANDOMENT

It shall be unlawful for any person to abandon any domestic animal upon any public place, including the right-of-way of any public highway, or upon the property of another.
